Our story
Growing up playing rec softball in the mid to late 80's and then transitioning into baseball when I was old enough for the local league, I remember always setting my bat on the ground in the dugout or hanging it from the fence by the handle. My teammates did the same thing. There were always bats laying all over the dugout. After a long break from the sport/s, I am involved in them again helping out with my son's teams for the last 8 years and my observation is that dugouts have not changed one bit. Bats are still laid up against the fence, laying on the ground, or hung by the handle in the fence. Many times they get knocked over and lay right in the middle of the dugout causing a trip hazard. To alleviate this problem, I set out to create a customizable 3D printed device that would keep bats off the ground and not strewn throughout the dugout. After many modifications to my original design, I have come up with a bat holder that meets the need. Gladly bringing you the Dugout Dok!
